Village tuition is designed for children of the poor families. So that after the school hours children develop the attitude of studying at home. Since these children have the less opportunity to learn English because they are poor and can’t afford to pay and learn, we the sisters train the high school children and have placed them as a teacher in their own respective villages. At the week end those students are given training in our main centre and are given weekly plan to be implemented and taught to the students in the villages. They follow that program. This seems to be an effective program for the marginalized students. Around 200 students are being benefitted through this program. Children are taught math and spoken English for a better communication.
Students are trained to fix mobiles, computer, brooms making, mushroom cultivation ect…… so that they get some local income to support their parents and their studies.
We provide a proper Bharadanatiyam class for students. It is a one-year diploma course. Because of the poor economic condition most of the children couldn’t continue their higher education. If they complete this one-year diploma course they will be provided with the certificate, with that they can work as a dance teacher in the schools. Weekly two classes are conducted.
This training is given to women in the villages. From Monday to Friday the classes are organized. There two shifts one in the, morning and the other in the afternoon. Women come according to their convenient time and get the training. This is a six-month course. Once they get trained, we also provide them with the work. In this way we provide them with the self-sustainable income for their survival.
